First Weekend a Success

Despite missing the Bradley Tournament in December, the forensics team achieved a great deal of success this weekend at the Appleton East tournament. The team earned a first place sweepstakes finish over Brookfield East 337 to 282.
Many students also earned individual championships. Students capturing a first place finish were: Matt Scales (Prose), Chris Tate (Poetry), Sisi Brown (Dramatic Interp), Albert Li (Oratory), Kate Rifkin (Farrago), Samantha Harper (Moments), Conner Hutchinson (Radio) and Catherine Turng (Special Occasion).
Many other students cleared to final rounds, including: Sema Razi (Demo), Matt Scales and Chris Tate (Duo), Amber Scarborough and Toast Reniemann (Duo), Clare Ryan (Extemp), Sandy Krueger (Oratory and Four Minute), Andrew Gonzales (Oratory and Four Minute), Kaity Taylor (Four Minute), Valerie Shin, Yang-lei Ye, and Lingran Kong (Group Interp), Brendan Caldwell (Lincoln Douglas Debate), Namratta Seghal (Oratory and Moments), Laurel Hammers (Oratory), Andrew Muir & Josh Tennebaum (Play Acting), Catlin Scales & Nick Bolen (Play Acting), Colin Woodbury (Dramatic Interp and Prose), Fangfei Duan (Prose), Daniel Letierman (Prose), Sam Zhu (Radio), Spencer O’Rourke (Humorous Interp), Ben Mau (Humorous Interp), Sarah Arbaje (Special Occasion), Sydney Peak (Special Occasion), Anna Svetnicka (Special Occasion) and Emma Cornwall (Storytelling).
