This past weekend was incredibly sucessful for the three teams of JMM’s Public Forum squad.

Congratualtions to Lingran Kong and Valerie Shen for fighting through a field of 28 teams to win the South Milwaukee Big Red Tournament. Congratulations to the Public Forum team of Lingran Kong and Valerie Shen who finished as tournament runners-up, dropping to Brookfield East SS on a 3-2 decision in the finals after going undefeated in the prelimiary rounds.

After two long days of debate, sophomores Lingran Kong and Valerie Shen finished the preliminary rounds of Public Forum debate as the third seed overall. They were defeated in the semi-finals by a team from Glenbrooks South (IL). Their performance earned the debaters a spot for a second consecutive year at the Wisconsin State Debate Tournament. Congratulations!
